Job summary

PSD Scotland invites applications for a Data Management Officer to support national surveillance of healthcare associated infection and antimicrobial resistance. The role focuses on ECOSS data, plus collection, management and reporting from multiple sources, engaging with Scottish Reference Laboratories, policymakers and NHS Boards.

You will have a degree in a scientific/clinical subject or equivalent data management experience, plus experience in databases, R/SPSS/SQL, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Primary degree in a scientific/clinical subject or equivalent data management experience.
• Training or experience in databases, R, SPSS and SQL.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience in data visualization and/or analytics is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support national surveillance of healthcare-associated infection and antimicrobial resistance data.
• Manage data delivered through the ECOSS system and reporting from other sources.
• Liaise with Scottish Reference Laboratories, policymakers, NHS Boards and clinicians.
