Job summary

Coventry City Council is seeking an experienced BI & Insight Analyst / Data Analyst to support a data transformation project within Digital & HR Services. The role involves migrating data from the existing data warehouse to a new Data Lake, with HR data a significant focus, and close collaboration with HR teams and stakeholders across the Council.

You will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, use SQL to extract and manipulate data, and produce performance information while

Qualifications

• Experience as Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Insight Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar.
• Strong Power BI dashboard and reporting experience.
• Good SQL skills.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong data validation, cleansing and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to turn complex data into clear and meaningful insights.

Responsibilities

• Extract, cleanse, validate and analyse data from multiple sources.
• Support the migration of data into a new Data Lake environment.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Use SQL to extract and manipulate data.
• Produce performance and management information.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends and insights.
• Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and develop appropriate solutions.
• Improve data quality, reporting processes and business intelligence outputs.
• Present complex data and findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
