Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland in Croydon is seeking a Business Intelligence Data Engineer to design, build and maintain Azure-based data pipelines, data models and Power BI datasets that support frontline services and leadership decisions.

You will work closely with the BI team and stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions, governance and self-service reporting in a busy local government context.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering data and BI solutions within a Microsoft data environment.
• Strong knowledge of modern data warehousing principles and data modelling techniques.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Azure SQL technologies.
• Strong Power BI and data visualisation experience.
• Advanced SQL and data transformation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance data solutions within the Azure-hosted BI platform.
• Design and implement scalable ELT processes to ingest and transform data from multiple systems.
• Build and maintain robust data models and datasets to support reporting and analytics.
• Support the development of Power BI dashboards and self-service reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security and performance standards.
