Job summary

Stansted Airports Data & Insight Team is seeking a senior data professional to shape how the airport uses data to improve customer experience, enhance operational performance and support strategic decisions.

You will partner with departments across the airport to build reliable, insightful data products and deliver high-quality analytics that uncover trends and solve operational challenges, driving a data-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Senior data/analytics roles with strong numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling stories for stakeholders (e.g., SLT).
• Experience with modern cloud data environments and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver actionable insights from multiple data sources and lead deep-dive analyses into performance and system issues.
• Support operational performance reviews with clear reporting and trusted data.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, MAG Technology and DASA teams to streamline data and automate reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and reliability; champion a single source of truth.
• Provide thought leadership and deputise for the Head of Data & Insight.

The Role

Join Stansted Airports Data & Insight Team and help drive a truly dataled culture across the organisation. In this senior role, youll shape how the airport uses data to improve customer experience, enhance operational performance and support strategic decision making.

As a data SME, youll partner with departments across the airport to build reliable, insightful data products and deliver highquality analytics that uncover trends, solve operational challenges and demonstrate the value of datadriven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a senior team member, deputising for the Head of Data & Insight, providing thought leadership and supporting Performance Analysts.


• Deliver accurate, actionable insights from multiple data sources; lead deepdive analysis into performance and system issues; manage delivery of key data outputs.


• Support operational performance reviews with clear reporting and insight, ensuring consistent standards and trusted data across the airport.


• Work closely with Operations, Finance, MAG Technology and the Data and Strategic Analytics (DASA) teams to streamline data, automate reporting and validate new systems.


• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and reliability, championing a single source of truth and identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Youll bring proven experience in senior data, analytics or insight roles, with strong numerical and problemsolving skills and the ability to turn complex data into clear, compelling stories for stakeholders including the Senior Leadership team. Your technical capability spans advanced Power BI development, SQL expertise and working with large datasets in modern cloud environments.
