Reflection's Data team builds the training corpora our frontier models learn from. As Data Ingestion Lead, you'll provide front-line leadership of the team that builds this layer, spanning all three pillars: web crawl, data ingestion pipelines, and data lakes.

You'll mentor engineers, guide architecture, and contribute as an individual when needed. You will work closely with pre-training research, data quality, and partnerships to ensure scalable, auditable data delivery that directly affects

Qualifications

• Experience leading data ingestion teams.
• Hands-on with large-scale ingestion systems.
• Strong coding ability and credibility within a team.
• Familiarity with training data considerations for LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data ingestion engineers.
• Provide front-line leadership across the full ingestion stack — web crawling and acquisition, extraction and normalization pipelines, and the data lakes.
• Stay hands-on: contribute as an individual in the technical stack when needed.
• Manage day-to-day execution and coordinate data acquisition campaigns in a dynamic environment.
• Guide technical and architectural decisions emphasizing scalability, reliability, auditability, and cost.
• Collaborate with research, data quality, and partnerships teams to tie ingestion decisions to model impact.
