Job summary

Kent Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Data Governance Officer to ensure accuracy and usability of data in the risk information database. The role focuses on data quality, QA processes, and guidance on premise creation within the MS Dynamics environment.

The post requires collaboration with local authorities, creating reports, and providing training to colleagues to inform decision making and maintain governance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in data quality roles and implementing QA processes.
• Ability to write and present reports for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of GDPR and FoI regulations.
• Understanding of gazetteers and address data governance (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Research and assess data that is out of date or due for review.
• Investigate data discrepancies and support customers.
• Maintain data quality assurance for risk data in the Microsoft Dynamics system.
• Coordinate with local authorities to keep address data current.
• Create reports and MI to highlight data discrepancies.
• Develop guidance and training on premise creation.
• Support system enhancements through guidance to users.
