Job summary

B Lab is seeking a Data Governance Lead to own data standards, definitions, and sensitivity classifications across the data platform. You will drive data literacy across the organization and work with the Data & AI team to ensure new models and pipelines meet standards from the start.

This remote-first role requires residency in Brazil at start of employment and commuting distance to São Paulo. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data modeling and/or data governance roles.
• Experience establishing and maintaining data standards, definitions, and sensitivity frameworks.
• Experience communicating technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and driving adoption.
• Familiarity with data-related legal and regulatory requirements.
• Strong written communication; ability to create clear, discoverable documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own Data Standards, Definitions, and sensitivity classifications for the data platform.
• Ensure compliance of data platform and analytics practices with laws and internal policy.
• Drive Data Standards Adoption and build data literacy across teams.
• Collaborate with Senior Analytics Engineer and Data Engineer to ensure models/pipelines follow standards.
