Job summary

B Lab in São Paulo, Brazil, is hiring a Data Governance Lead for its Data & ML Platforms pillar. You will own data standards, definitions, and sensitivity classifications across the data platform, ensuring compliance with laws and documentation requirements while growing data literacy across the organization.

Collaborate with a Senior Analytics Engineer and Data Engineer to ensure new models and pipelines are built to standard, explore governance tooling, and apply standards across networks

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data modeling and/or data governance.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data models to audit governance implementations.
• Experience establishing and maintaining data standards, definitions, and sensitivity/classification frameworks.
• Ability to communicate technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive adoption of standards across teams.
• Familiarity with data-related legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own Data Standards & Definitions and maintain sensitivity classifications.
• Ensure data platform compliance with laws and internal policy.
• Drive data standards adoption and build data literacy via training and documentation.
• Collaborate with Platform peers to ensure models and pipelines meet standards.
