Job summary

Stiltz Homelifts is seeking a Data Engineer to maintain data pipelines and dbt models, writing SQL to support business decisions across sales and operations. This is an office-based, full-time permanent role in Kingswinford, West Midlands.

You will join a small analytics team, contribute to data quality, dashboards, and reporting, and work with NetSuite and infrastructure teams. Strong SQL and dbt experience, plus Git, are essential with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Expert-level SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions, CTEs)
• Experience with dbt in production
• Strong Git/version control experience
• Experience with SQL pipelines/transformations
• Able to interpret data and explain insights clearly
• Experience testing and validating code
• Communicate technical information to non-technical colleagues
• Self-motivated and commercially aware
• Proactive, logical problem solving and willingness to learn
• Degree or equivalent in CS/Math/Engineering
• Active interest in AI and emerging tech

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve data pipelines feeding our data warehouse
• Build and improve dbt models including staging layers, business logic transforms, and reporting-ready marts
• Answer business questions with clear SQL, presenting findings clearly to non-technical colleagues
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports used by the wider organisation
• Implement and monitor data quality tests with NetSuite and infrastructure teams
• Ensure technical documentation and business definitions are current and accessible
• Write clean, well-tested code with safe deployment in mind
• Use Git version control consistently and as part of a collaborative workflow
