Job summary

Mint Velvet is seeking a commercially-minded Junior Merchandiser to drive the performance of core product categories. You will forecast and trade to maximise sales, profit and stock efficiency, working closely with the Head of Merchandising Operations to forecast, trade and manage stock with accuracy and confidence.

The role relies on strong data insight, collaborative cross-functional work, and a proactive approach to growth and risk management across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong merchandising experience with an excellent understanding of forecasting, stock management, WSSI ownership and trading principles.
• Highly analytical and data-driven approach.
• Confidence building relationships and influencing stakeholders across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage WSSI forecasting and reforecasting, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Ensure best-selling lines are available at the right time and quantities by balancing availability with stock risk.
• Analyse sales, stock and customer trends to generate actionable insight for decisions.
• Partner with Buying to shape range strategies, seasonal plans and stock investments.
• Drive in-season trading to maximise sales and margin.
• Present trading performance and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
