Citizens Advice SORT Group in Manchester is hiring an IT Manager to lead the Data, Digital and Innovation function, ensuring IT services stay up and secure across four boroughs. You will manage a small team, drive cyber security, incident handling and continuous improvement, and collaborate with the wider Citizens Advice network.

The role offers hybrid working, a 35-hour week and a salary ranging from £38,707 to £41,116 per year, with progression to higher tier over time.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an IT support or service desk function in a mid-size org.
• Experience line-managing staff with development and performance reviews.
• Strong knowledge of technologies in a modern hybrid workplace (Microsoft 365, IAM, endpoints, networking, telephony).
• Understanding of cyber security controls and standards and compliance with them.

Responsibilities

• Own IT service delivery and continuity across multiple sites, ensuring access and systems for staff.
• Maintain service reliability and incident management, planning maintenance around delivery cycles.
• Lead the team of three Data, Digital and Support Officers, set standards and manage workload.
• Drive cyber security certification work (Cyber Essentials/Cyber Essentials Plus) and annual recertification.
• Coordinate IT training for staff and volunteers; manage IT projects within remit.
• Develop IT support for partner offices and help grow the wider Citizens Advice network.
