Job summary

Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a Data Delivery Lead to coordinate the Data Services portfolio, ensuring prioritisation, planning and progress across multiple business functions. You will lead delivery processes and portfolio visibility, acting as a link between Data Services leadership, technical teams and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating delivery across multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
• Experience with data, analytics or software delivery teams.
• Strong project, programme or delivery management or agile delivery skills.
• Experience using Jira or similar tools to manage work, timelines and dependencies.
• Ability to translate detailed delivery activity into portfolio-level information.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work with technical specialists and senior business stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
• Identify risks, dependencies and blockers and drive them to resolution.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy and making day-to-day delivery decisions.
• Experience using BI tools (Tableau or Databricks).
• SQL and Python experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and delivery across the Data Services portfolio.
• Maintain a view of current, upcoming and longer-term work across functions.
• Facilitate regular delivery planning, stand-ups, prioritisation and reviews.
• Maintain portfolio timelines in Jira and roadmap tools.
• Assess capacity, estimates, dependencies and delivery risks with technical teams.
• Identify blockers and coordinate resolution actions.
• Prioritise incoming demand against commitments and capacity.
• Apply Data Services delivery frameworks with autonomy for teams.
• Provide stakeholders with clear, regular updates on priorities and timelines.
• Coordinate dependencies between Data Services, business stakeholders and other tech teams.
• Monitor delivery performance and escalate where needed.
• Support portfolio reporting to Data Services and Global IT leadership.
• Escalate significant scope/resource conflicts to senior leaders.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and visibility.
