Job summary

Talent Works is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a global leader in hyperscale data centre infrastructure, based in Newport, Wales. You will lead quality and commissioning activities across the project lifecycle, from design and pre-construction through testing, handover and operational readiness for major data centre projects.

This contract role is 6-12 months, on-site three days a week, requiring collaboration with design teams, contractors, vendors and operations to install,

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning, construction management, automation systems or a related technical environment.
• Experience managing or supporting commissioning of complex building systems.
• An understanding of critical infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical and IT systems.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors and external suppliers.
• Experience developing commissioning plans, schedules and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage quality and commissioning activities across data centre construction projects.
• Oversee testing, verification and validation of HVAC, electrical and IT infrastructure.
• Develop commissioning plans, schedules and protocols.
• Coordinate with design and construction teams to integrate commissioning requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure installations meet design specs.
• Monitor testing and commissioning documentation for accuracy.
• Provide progress updates to project stakeholders.
• Support handover of systems to operations teams with training materials.
