Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in the United Kingdom seeks a Data Centre Shift Leader to oversee a critical M&E shift team, coordinate workloads, and ensure high standards of service delivery in live data centre environments.

You will manage handovers, enforce Permit to Work, run toolbox talks, and maintain safety and client SLAs across complex facilities. Strong CMMS/BMS knowledge and electrical discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• HVAP qualification or equivalent essential.
• City & Guilds Electrical Competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
• Strong building services knowledge for critical environments.
• Experience in managing shift-based M&E operations and SAR/SLAs.
• Proven customer relationship skills and communication at all levels.
• Familiarity with Permit to Work systems and change control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and processes.
• Experience with CMMS and BMS systems in data centre settings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage holiday, sickness cover and HR issues for shift staff.
• Supervise the M&E shift team and out-of-hours staff as senior rep.
• Plan workload on shift; schedule PPMs/CMs to meet SLAs.
• Lead handover communications via logs, email and status board.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety processes and Permit to Work.
• Deliver toolbox talks, site assessments and audits as required.
• Maintain budgets and provide weekly workload/status reports.
• Act as point of contact for client service delivery.
