Job summary

JLL is seeking a Shift Engineer for a Data Centre in the United Kingdom. You will have an electrical focus, responsible for inspection and maintenance of critical MEP assets and risk management within the facility.

You will lead planned, corrective and reactive maintenance tasks, issue Permits to Work, and ensure compliance with safety policies and method statements while coordinating with vendors and the Service Delivery Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in critical environments such as Data Centres or Banking HQ.
• Authorised Person (High or Low Voltage).
• Electrical/Mechanical Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• BS 7671 (Current Edition).
• Willingness to attend on/off-site training, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain MEP systems in a critical facility with electrical bias.
• Lead Planned, Corrective and Reactive maintenance tasks.
• Issue Permits to Work and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate with Specialist Vendors and report findings clearly.
• Complete shift handovers, risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Maintain accurate job records and stock usage.
