Job summary

JLL is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer to join our Critical Facilities/Data Centre engineering team in the UK. The role focuses on electrical-biased maintenance, risk management and reliable service delivery across complex MEP systems.

You will lead maintenance tasks, coordinate with vendors and ensure compliance with safety procedures, while supporting off-site/overnight training as required. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Critical Environments such as Banking HQ and Data Centres.
• Extensive understanding of MEP assets and critical facility operation.
• Ability to issue PTW and ensure compliance with method statements and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Planned, Corrective and Reactive maintenance tasks for MEP assets.
• Ensure vendors service visits are efficient and quality checked.
• Provide engineering shift relief and maintain staffing at required levels.
• Record all completed work orders and stock usage accurately.
• Attend weekly and quarterly team meetings and handover reports.
• Participate in Health and Safety duties including hazard reporting and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with supply chain for M&E component orders.
• Maintain show site standards across all plant rooms and assets.
