Job summary

EkkoSense Group seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join its UK operations, focusing on data centre cooling systems and controls. You will provide technical support to multiple teams, contribute to R&D efforts, and manage software-led cooling optimisation projects across client sites.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical or thermal engineering within data centres, knowledge of hydronic systems, BMS, Modbus, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years mechanical or thermal engineering in data centres or critical facilities.
• Qualified building services/Mechanical engineer with data centre cooling experience.
• Knowledge of hydronic system design and implementation.
• Membership in ASHRAE and/or CIBSE, or working towards chartership.
• Willingness to travel onsite across the UK and occasional international sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support to Operations, Sales and Engineering teams.
• Support R&D data centre cooling optimisation efforts, including on-site and off-site activities.
• Lead and deliver software-led data centre cooling optimisation projects.
• Conduct feasibility surveys, assessments and reports.
• Attend design team or client meetings when required.
• Carry out risk assessments and value engineering with Health & Safety compliance.
