Working for a privately owned company with a healthy portfolio of financial investors has allowed them to expand their presence within the data hosting industry. This financial strength has also helped them to deliver projects of any scale here in the UK and internationally, which allows them to compete with much larger organisations. Working directly for the owner of the Data Centre, you will be offered a clean, state-of-the-art, and friendly environment to work in, based in North London. The role will offer you career stability and progression within a rapidly expanding and career-proofing industry. The brand new state-of-the-art N+1 site has the provision to expand to 150MW, ensuring longevity for the future.
The business has a great ethos in the investment in the staff so that each employee, no matter what level, feels an integral part of the team and a sense of belonging to the site and company. They are also looking for people who want career progression and are ambitious, and not just looking for a job that pays the highest salary. As part of their investment in people, they offer an excellent training program for their staff, spending on average £10k on training courses for new starters. In their own words, they are looking to build a real engineering environment with “real fixers”.
You will need to be an experienced HVAC, Building Services Maintenance and Operations sector with all-around HVAC maintenance experience who is proactive and methodical in their approach to work. Previous experience of carrying out the planned and reactive maintenance of Air Conditioning Units (CRAC), Split A/C, HVAC plants, cooling towers, water leak detection systems, single and 3-phase power and distribution, BMS monitoring, pumps, motors, valves, fire alarm systems, and all general electrical and mechanical work is required.
Engineers should be keen, a good cultural fit with the existing team, technically oriented with an appetite to learn more, and possess good hands-on maintenance experience. Minimum qualifications should include City & Guilds or an apprenticeship. Ideally, previous Critical Environment experience is advantageous but not essential. You should also be able to work well within a team or independently with minimal supervision.
