Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Generator Service Engineer to maintain standby power infrastructure across fixed customer sites, ensuring equipment reliability and maximum uptime in mission-critical facilities. The role covers preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and on-site support, with on-call rota and competitive rewards, including a strong progression path and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or NVQ Level 3.
• Experience on generators or critical power systems is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in data centres or industrial settings would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on standby power generation equipment within data centre environments.
• Diagnosing faults and completing breakdown repairs to maximise equipment reliability and uptime.
• Working on fixed customer sites, supporting critical power infrastructure and emergency backup systems.
• Building strong relationships with site teams and customers, delivering a professional service.
• Collaborating with Coordinators and Service Managers to keep maintenance schedules and reactive works on track.
• Accurately recording all work carried out using our bespoke management system.
• Participating in the site or regional on-call rota (about 1 in 6).
• Adhering to Health & Safety, environmental and quality management systems.
