Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Generator Service Engineer to support critical power infrastructure within data centres. You will work predominantly from fixed customer sites, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to standby power equipment.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanical/electrical engineer or NVQ Level 3 equivalent.
• Experience working on generators or critical power systems.
• Experience in data centres, facilities management or industrial settings is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication with customers and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on standby power generation equipment in data centre environments.
• Diagnosing faults and completing breakdown repairs to ensure reliability and uptime.
• Working on fixed customer sites, supporting critical power infrastructure and emergency backup systems.
• Building strong relationships with site teams and customers, delivering professional service.
• Coordinating with Coordinators and Service Managers to ensure maintenance schedules and reactive works are completed.
• Accurately recording all work using our bespoke management system.
• Participating in on-call rota (approximately 1 in 6) and adhering to safety and quality standards.
