Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Generator Service Engineer to support critical power infrastructure within data centre environments. Working predominantly from fixed customer sites, you will maintain standby power systems and ensure equipment reliability and maximum uptime across mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanical/electrical engineer or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience on generators or critical power systems is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills; safe in high-compliance environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on standby power generation equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs to ensure reliability and uptime.
• Work on fixed customer sites supporting critical power infrastructure and emergency backup systems.
• Build strong relationships with site teams and customers, delivering professional service.
• Coordinate with Coordinators and Service Managers to keep maintenance schedules on track.
• Accurately record all work using the bespoke management system.
• Participate in the site or regional on-call rota (approximately 1 in 6).
• Adhere to Health & Safety, environmental and quality management systems at all times.
