Job summary

Rehlko seeks a Generator Service Engineer to support critical power infrastructure in data centre environments. You will perform planned maintenance and reactive repairs on standby generators, ensuring reliability and uptime across mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanical/electrical engineer or NVQ Level 3.
• Experience on generators or critical power systems preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Able to work safely in high-compliance environments.
• Excellent communication with customers and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on standby power generation equipment in data centre environments.
• Diagnosing faults and completing breakdown repairs to ensure maximum equipment reliability.
• Working on fixed customer sites, supporting critical power infrastructure and emergency backup systems.
• Building strong relationships with site teams and customers, delivering a professional service.
• Working with Coordinators and Service Managers to keep maintenance schedules and reactive works on track.
• Accurately recording all work carried out using the management system.
• Participating in the site or regional on-call rota (approx. 1 in 6).
• Adhering to Health & Safety, environmental and quality management systems at all times.
