Position Concept: The Data Centre Engineering Manager oversees the technical operations of the building and infrastructure, ensuring efficient operation and 100% availability of critical and non-critical engineering services. Responsibilities include managing technical staff, coordinating maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance, and liaising with clients.

Key Tasks:

1. Supervise and manage technical competence of site personnel.
2. Operate building systems effectively, including HV operations, with focus on risk and energy efficiency.
3. Manage activities related to building system operations and maintenance.
4. Coordinate with subcontractors, approve procedures, and ensure quality standards.
5. Ensure compliance with contractual SLAs and safety standards.
6. Review and improve preventive maintenance systems.
7. Participate in meetings and reporting, including client and management reports.
8. Maintain accurate asset and maintenance records.
9. Monitor utility usage and report anomalies or savings opportunities.
10. Manage critical infrastructure and associated risks.
11. Assess and develop engineering team competencies and training.
12. Oversee critical spares and incident reporting.
13. Ensure maintenance of critical equipment and communicate issues promptly.
14. Prepare quotations for infrastructure upgrades or repairs.

Personal Qualities:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in data centre or critical environment operations.
• HV Authorized Person
• 18th Edition wiring and installation certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication, leadership, and IT skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and lead a team.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
