Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer to manage testing across two critical environments in Corsham and Farnborough. The role requires meticulous preparation, circuit tracing, isolation planning, and safety documentation to ensure zero-downtime operations.

The candidate should have Level 3 NVQ in installing electrotechnical systems, a 2391 qualification or equivalent, and be eligible for UK SC clearance. This role involves site travel and strict safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Core Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (or recognized EAS Table 4 equivalent/Experienced Worker Assessment).
• Specialist Inspection & Testing: Approved Level 3 Award in PI&T of Electrical Installations (e.g., City & Guilds 2391-51, 2391-52, or equivalents) or willing to work towards.
• Regulations: Current City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ verifiable practical experience in testing and inspection.
• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain caveat-free UK Security Clearance (SC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute electrical testing regimes across critical infrastructure sites without downtime.
• Perform initial verification and periodic inspection/testing (EICRs) in complex electrical systems.
• Work within safe systems of work as required by the site leadership.
• Produce detailed, compliant electrical condition reports using industry-standard software.
