Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer to manage electrical testing regimes across Corsham and Farnborough. You will handle preparation, testing, and reporting, ensuring zero-downtime in critical environments.

Role requires at least 2 years in testing/inspection, knowledge of electrical regulations, and SC clearance or ability to obtain it; travel between sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Core Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (or equivalent).
• Specialist Inspection & Testing: Approved Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (e.g., City & Guilds 2391-51, 2391-52).
• Regulations: City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) current amendments.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ practical testing & inspection experience in critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Preparation Works: conduct pre-test surveys, verify single-line diagrams, trace circuit paths, and plan safe isolation/testing.
• Perform EICRs across complex electrical infrastructure without service disruption.
• Work within safe systems of work mandated by the site’s Principal Duty Holder.
• Produce detailed, compliant electrical condition reports using appropriate asset software.
