Job summary

James Lewis Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Contract Manager in London and surrounding regions for a principal contractor delivering data centre critical infrastructure upgrades across live environments.

You will own contract delivery, financial forecast, client relationships and governance for projects typically ranging from £1m to £10m, focusing on switchgear, UPS and LV infrastructure while maintaining strong HSQE compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Electrical Contract Manager or similar in critical environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services and data centre priorities.
• Ability to forecast, manage cost, variations and gross margin.
• Proven client reporting and subcontractor management capability.
• Knowledge of HSQE, statutory compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of electrical projects across data centre environments.
• Oversee project values typically £1m–£10m with upgrades to switchgear, UPS and LV infrastructure.
• Lead pre-contract input, mobilisation, delivery, change control and close-out.
• Coordinate with clients, project teams, engineers, suppliers and commercial teams.
• Monitor financial performance, forecast cash flow, and manage variations and risk.
• Identify additional works and ensure they are delivered and closed out financially.
• Ensure safety, compliance and proper contractual execution across projects.
