Job summary

365 Recruitment is partnering with a leading UK colocation operator to appoint a Critical Facilities Manager for a flagship London campus. You will own the safe, resilient operation of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure to ensure 100% uptime for enterprise and hyperscale clients.

Lead a team of engineers and manage PPMs, contractor spend and budgets, while driving energy efficiency, sustainability targets and compliance with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in critical environments, data centres preferred.
• 3+ years managing engineering teams in a 24/7 operation.
• HV/LV Authorised Person status preferred.
• HNC/HND or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with UPS, generators, switchgear and cooling systems.
• Experience managing contractors, budgets and compliance.
• Calm under pressure, customer-facing and comfortable in audits.
• Desirable: CDCP/CDCS/CDFOM, NEBOSH or IOSH, and experience with commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation, maintenance and resilience of critical infrastructure including HV/LV electrical systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling and BMS/EPMS.
• Maintain 100% uptime against SLAs and lead incident response and RCA.
• Manage and develop a team of shift engineers, technicians and supervisors.
• Oversee PPM programmes and manage contractors and suppliers.
• Own SOP/ROP/EOP frameworks and ensure safe working practices.
• Act as AP for HV/LV and oversee Permit to Work.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and standards (ISO 9001/14001/45001/50001, Uptime/TIA-942).
• Drive energy efficiency and PUE improvements, support sustainability targets.
• Manage capacity planning for power and cooling as demand grows.
• Support fit-outs, expansions and commissioning of new data halls.
• Own the critical facilities budget including OPEX, CAPEX and contractor spend.
• Serve as key point of contact for customers during audits and on-site tours.
• Report monthly KPIs on uptime, incidents and energy performance.
