Job summary

Winthrop Technologies is seeking a Commissioning (Cx) Manager to lead the on-site commissioning for a major data centre project in Blyth, United Kingdom. You will oversee commissioning engineers, define work scopes, and align with the commissioning strategy and programme.

You will manage milestones, coordinate FATs/FWTs with vendors, ensure compliance with contract documents and safety standards, and report progress to the line manager while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 5+ years leading commissioning on data centre projects.
• Proven ability to build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong knowledge of EHS requirements for mechanical and electrical commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and supervise Commissioning Engineers on the project.
• Define commissioning work scopes and manage delivery per strategy.
• Monitor progress against milestones and address risks.
• Coordinate Vendor FATs and FWTs.
• Prepare and submit commissioning progress reports.
• Ensure documentation review and handover readiness.
