Job summary

CTS Group is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning programme for a major data centre project in Middlesbrough. You will oversee mechanical, electrical, controls, life safety, and integrated systems, ensuring safe, compliant delivery from design through handover.

This role requires UK regulatory knowledge, strong leadership, and proven experience managing cross-disciplinary teams on large-scale mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Commissioning Manager on large-scale projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
• Knowledge of UK regulations and relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the commissioning strategy and programme.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate interfaces with management, design, QA/QC, HSE and client.
• Oversee readiness reviews, FAT/SAT and IST activities and handover.
• Deliver integrated systems testing and operational readiness.
• Produce weekly/monthly commissioning reports and manage risks.
