Job summary

CTS Group is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning programme on a major data centre project in Middlesbrough, with regular visits to the London HQ. You will oversee design review, construction readiness, IST, FAT/SAT, and handover to operations.

A senior, multidisciplinary leader will drive safety, quality and timely delivery. The role requires a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in commissioning leadership on complex projects, and strong

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
Minimum 5 years in a Commissioning Manager role on large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects.
Proven leadership of multidisciplinary commissioning teams and coordination with contractor/vendor activities.
Strong knowledge of commissioning methodologies (Levels 0–5, energisation, IST, handover).
Understanding of UK construction regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead commissioning strategy and plans.
Manage multidisciplinary commissioning teams and coordinate interfaces with project management, design, QA/QC, HSE and clients.
Oversee FAT/SAT, energisation, IST, and handover documentation and records.
Ensure compliance with regulations and project specifications; manage risks and approvals.
