Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Stevenage seeks an experienced Data Center Technician to support mission-critical infrastructure on-site. You will install, decommission, and migrate hardware, and manage disciplined wiring across copper and fiber networks.

The role requires 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, hands-on server hardware experience (Dell/HP/Supermicro), and robust English communication. This full-time position includes an on-site work model and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on-site.
• Professional communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
• Familiarity with DCIM and ticketing systems.
