Reboot Monkey in Swindon, UK is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a full-time, on-site role supporting mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, strong cabling skills, server hardware experience (Dell/HP/Supermicro), and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. On-site work with on-call rotation and a focus on documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber)
• Server hardware experience (Dell, HP, Supermicro)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Professional English communication
• Data center certifications (CDCP/CDCS or similar) preferred
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) preferred
• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems preferred
• Familiarity with major colocation providers preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site
