Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom, seeks a Data Center Technician to join our on-site team and support critical infrastructure in a full-time permanent role.

The position requires 3+ years of data center operations experience, expert cabling skills, and strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities. On-site work, standard business hours with on-call rotations, and night/weekend differential where applicable are part of the schedule. DCIM and vendor certs are a plus.

Qualifications

3+ years data center operations experience.
Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
Experience with rack and stack operations.
Understanding of power distribution and UPS systems.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
