Job summary

Amazon Data Services Uk Limited in the United Kingdom is expanding its AWS Infrastructure Services team and seeking Data Center Technicians. You will be a primary resolver for data center infrastructure challenges and work within the Data Center Operations team to maintain IT hardware and network systems.

The role may involve shift work and rotation between locations, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement in critical cloud infrastructure.

We're expanding our Infrastructure Operations team and seeking Data Center Technicians.

In this role, you’ll:

• Serve as a primary technical resolver for data center infrastructure challenges
• Work within the Data Center Operations (DCO) team to maintain IT infrastructure and hardware
• Develop expertise in various hardware and software troubleshooting scenarios
• Lead resolution of infrastructure issues and coordinate with solution teams on complex cases
• Help drive continuous improvements

This position may include shift work and may require rotation between locations.

Key job responsibilities

SAFETY

• Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.

DATA CENTER OPERATIONS (DCO)

• Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs
• Troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations)
• On-call rotation reaction to off-duty emergency calls (if applicable)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
