Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited in London is hiring data center technicians to support the world’s largest cloud platform. You will diagnose hardware and network issues, perform repairs, and maintain IT infrastructure in our DCO team.

The role may involve shift work and location rotations, with emphasis on safety and rapid incident resolution. Candidates should have hardware troubleshooting experience and networking knowledge, and a mindset for continuous improvement.

We’re expanding our Infrastructure Operations team and seeking Data Center Technicians.

In This Role, You\'ll:

• Serve as a primary technical resolver for data center infrastructure challenges
• Work within the Data Center Operations (DCO) team to maintain IT infrastructure and hardware
• Develop expertise in various hardware and software troubleshooting scenarios
• Lead resolution of infrastructure issues and coordinate with solution teams on complex cases
• Help drive continuous improvements

This position may include shift work and may require rotation between locations.

Key job responsibilities

SAFETY

DATA CENTER OPERATIONS (DCO)

• Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs
• Troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations)
• On-call rotation reaction to off-duty emergency calls (if applicable)
