Job summary

Digital Realty in Woking, United Kingdom, is seeking a Site Engineer I (Shift Engineer) to deliver technical customer service and operational support within a data center. You will be the first point of contact for technical issues, perform repairs, support installation and migration activities, and maintain inventory while ensuring health and safety compliance.

The role involves 24/7 technical support, collaboration with internal teams and external partners, and documenting progress and results

Qualifications

Experience in mission critical operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or electrical and mechanical systems.
HVAC electrical experience preferred.
Good computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience maintaining data center systems including power, cooling, and BMS.

Responsibilities

Drive adherence to safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
Manage maintenance and repair operations, including coordination with subcontractors.
Perform on-call duties and manage incidents as necessary.
Document progress, issues, and results, and implement improvement measures.
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in technical skills pertinent to the role.
Assist with writing and reviewing operating procedures and planning maintenance/change requests.
