Job summary

IMI plc is seeking a Business Development Manager for Data Centers covering Western Europe & Nordics. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and drive growth in hyperscale, colocation, and large enterprise projects.

The role demands a strategic thinker with deep market knowledge, strong network in the data center space, and proven dealings across multi-stakeholder deals, with hybrid/remote work and travel up to 40% across Europe.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
7+ years in new business development or sales in the Data Center industry within Europe.
Knowledge of hydronic balancing valves and HVAC flow control for mission-critical cooling.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; proficient in Salesforce CRM and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Strategic market development for the Data Center market across Western Europe & Nordics.
Conduct market intelligence and analysis of trends, customer needs, procurement behaviors, and competition.
Originate and close high-value, multi-stakeholder opportunities with long sales cycles across complex environments.
Manage client relationships with data center investors/owners, A&E firms, consultants, and EPC leads.
Translate product benefits into clear value propositions and Total Cost of Ownership models for design teams.
Represent IMI at major forums and conferences to build pipeline and market credibility.
Develop sales tools, bespoke proposals, and project plans with internal teams; support forecasting in Salesforce.
