Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust offers a data-focused role within the EMCHC / PICU service, supporting PICANet databases and detailed reporting.

You will input data, generate reports for clinical governance, coordinate validation visits, and work with clinicians to monitor capacity and treatment pathways. A strong eye for detail and Excel proficiency is essential, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience using spreadsheets/databases/software packages (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Ability to use data for reporting and analysis with high data quality.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills; work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, input and update PICANet databases.
• Ensure timely submission of quarterly reports or as required.
• Validate and upload data, maintaining data integrity and security.
• Coordinate PICANet data validation visits and support other visits as required.
• Maintain all local databases and generate database reports for the team.
• Collate and enter data to assist in research, audit and clinical governance projects.
• Produce reports from the database to monitor capacity, treatment pathways and policy compliance.
• Monitor data quality and compliance with quality assurance indicators.
• Develop knowledge of software used within the EMCHC / PICU service, especially Excel.
• With clinicians, monitor the audit trail of patient information ensuring confidentiality.
