Job summary

Reed Technology is partnering with a leading public sector organisation to appoint an experienced Data Architect to lead the development of its enterprise data architecture capability. This hands-on role offers the chance to shape strategy while remaining close to technology, helping establish a Data Architecture practice from the ground up and guiding governance, interoperability and data platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience defining and evolving enterprise data architecture frameworks.
• Experience designing data models across complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft data ecosystem (Azure, Fabric).
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and proving concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current data landscape, identify gaps and opportunities in a fragmented environment.
• Develop a scalable enterprise data architecture roadmap aligned to priorities.
• Create and maintain enterprise, domain, conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to map data flows and design data solutions.
• Define data architecture standards, principles and best practices.
• Design approaches to improve interoperability, integration and governance.
