Job summary

Reed is seeking an experienced Data Protection Solution Architect for a major client programme. The role focuses on protecting business-critical services during large-scale infrastructure transformation, including a significant Data Centre Exit Programme.

You will provide architectural leadership across hybrid cloud, on-premise, and migration activities, ensuring resilience and availability of critical workloads.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Data Protection or Infrastructure Solution Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Backup and Recovery technologies.
• Experience designing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Storage platforms.
• Experience working within Hybrid Cloud environments (Azure and AWS).
• Strong understanding of VMware and virtualisation technologies.
• Experience supporting large-scale migration, transformation, or Data Centre Exit programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale data protection solutions.
• Support Data Centre Exit and infrastructure transformation programmes.
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across teams.
• Work closely with Service Operations, Cloud, Network, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure business-critical workloads remain protected and highly available.
• Contribute to solution design, governance, and technical assurance activities.
