Job description

Contract type: Full Time (37.5 hours) – Permanent

Location: The University of Huddersfield - London Campus

Salary: up to £32,000 per annum

To be a member of the Centre’s Student Experience Team with responsibility for data management, assessments, and academic administration, compliance (student enrolments and attendance).

To implement Study Group’s policies, standard operating processes, and procedures, with the purpose of ensuring staff and students are fully supported to maximize student outcomes and satisfaction.

The post holder will report to the Student Experience Manager. The post holder will work in a matrix structure and need to build strong working relationships within the Student Experience Team, central Study Group teams, and the university partner to ensure the smooth running of the Centre.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  1. Maintain the Centre’s definitive datasets and student results, ensuring accuracy and currency, and produce reports for the Head of Centre/other team members as requested.
  2. Act as secretary to relevant governance boards as required.
  3. Ensure Study Group policies and standard operating procedures are followed.
  4. Support management teams in preparation for quality assurance and enhancement activities.
  5. Liaise with central teams to update student bookings with Study Plan changes.
  6. Ensure student reports are produced in a timely manner with accurate information and professional feedback.
  7. Support management with MAB and PAB organisation.
  8. Assist centre managers with the implementation of assessment standards and regulations.
  9. Organise the release of assessment screens termly, invigilation of assessments, and verification processes of assessments, security, collation, distribution, collection, and archiving of assessments and documentation.
  10. Review and update systems used, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation (e.g., appeals, academic misconduct, mitigating circumstances).
  11. Coordinate information collection from faculties and management to complete the central timetabling template and liaise with the central team for updates.
  12. Ensure the centre has adequate furniture, classroom provisions, and resources for teaching.
  13. Act as Visa lead for the Centre, liaising with central teams to ensure visa compliance and contributing to compliance efforts.
  14. Maintain accurate records, chase outstanding compliance documentation.
  15. Organise student registration at all intake points, including late arrivals, ensuring records are updated, documentation uploaded, and quality audits conducted.
  16. Ensure Validate is updated as required and attend monthly visa lead meetings to embed SOPs.
  17. Monitor attendance, log interventions, and liaise with Wellbeing & Progression Coordinators to ensure interventions are implemented, recording mitigating factors.
  18. Support the Student Experience Team in contacting absent students and informing parents and agents when necessary.
ABOUT YOU
  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent experience demonstrating ability to work and think independently).
  • Supporting students in an educational context.
  • Working to develop, build, and maintain the Student Experience.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
