About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analytics Senior Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing complex core banking data, uncovering valuable insights, and contributing to strategic decision-making within the organization. You will be responsible for end-to-end data analysis, from data extraction and cleaning to developing insightful reports and visualizations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of core banking systems, data warehousing principles, and data visualization best practices.

About the Team:

Core Accounts Data Platform (CDP) is part of Core Account team within Services group (TTS) and is responsible for building a scalable, high-performance data platform on Big Data technologies (Spark, Scala, Hive, Hadoop) along with Kafka/Java and AI technologies to support core account data needs across multiple lines of businesses. As a tenant on the Vanguard ecosystem, CDP ingests, enriches, and publishes data in both real-time and batch modes. The platform enables downstream consumption through standardized canonical data models (CDMs) and plays a critical role in regulatory reporting, reconciliation, and statement generation. We are a collaborative and fast-paced team focused on innovation, data quality, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth analysis of data attributes related to core banking systems, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of core banking data models, including customer, account, transaction, and product data.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various core banking systems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data definitions, data lineage, and data quality rules.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics, particularly in the core banking domain.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues, working with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new data analytics tools and technologies.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in a data analytics role, with a strong focus on core banking data.
  • Proven experience working with large and complex datasets, including data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and analysis.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and principles.
  • Experience with ER modeling and data modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of core banking platforms such as FLEXCUBE, Finacle, or FIS is a significant plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
