The Opportunity

Role Overview:

This role requires a working knowledge of finance practices and a commercial awareness of the legal business to partner with business and technical teams, ensuring financial process accuracy and leveraging data for insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate and load journals into the finance system.
  • Perform system checks and resolve imbalances with Data Analysts.
  • Maintain system elements like Chart of Accounts, GL linkings, project codes.
  • Support month-end processes for Finance Managers.
  • Maintain and update reports in WEBi, troubleshoot issues.
  • Analyze data processes to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Train users on WEBi best practices.
  • Assist with complex reporting issues and support data literacy.
  • Ensure proper understanding and usage of reports and metrics.
  • Interpret data trends and present insights using PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Monitor ServiceNow calls, resolve or escalate issues.
  • Document processes and maintain reporting schedules.
  • Identify and define new reporting needs, support BI development and testing.
  • Manage the BI product backlog with epics and user stories.

  • ServiceNow query resolution time
  • Cycle time for month-end activities
  • Number of trained users and quality of reports
  • Accuracy of analysis and reports
  • Stakeholder feedback
  • Data process improvements
  • System integrity and issue documentation

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
  • Professional studies (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or similar qualifications preferred
  • 1-3 years in a corporate environment, preferably in data and analytics
  • Advanced Excel and WEBi skills
  • PowerBI proficiency desirable
  • Knowledge of SQL or similar coding languages
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Organized, articulate, numerate, and independent worker
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
