Job description

About Kubrick

Kubrick is an award-winning AI consultancy helping organizations turn AI ambition into measurable, real-world impact. We design, build and scale solutions that solve complex business challenges and deliver lasting value.

We work with leading organizations across industries including financial services, healthcare, retail, energy, aviation, and the public sector, and partner with some of the world’s leading technology providers, including Microsoft, Snowflake, Databricks, and Collibra.

What sets us apart is how we build capabilities and careers alongside the solutions we deliver. Through continuous learning, hands-on experience, and a collaborative culture, our people develop deep expertise while solving complex, real-world challenges for our clients.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking AI Governance Manager to join our growing Data & AI Governance capability. This role blends client-facing delivery with thought leadership and internal development responsibilities, helping shape and scale Kubrick’s AI Governance proposition.

You’ll bring deep expertise across AI Governance, from AI responsibility and ethics to model risk management, bias and fairness testing, regulatory compliance and best-practice enculturation of processes and ceremonies. You will lead delivery squads, define strategic roadmaps, and guide the selection, configuration and rollout of relevant governance tooling.

You’ll oversee delivery of a variety of engagements, whether focused on standing up regulatory compliance procedures and processes, assessing maturity and building improvements, designing & performing controls and issue triage processes, or designing AI governance operating models.

The role also requires a strong understanding of how governance adds business value, enabling innovation and guiding innovators through the perceived red tape to boost AI enablement rather than throttle it down.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of AI governance, Responsible & Ethical AI and maturity workstreams for clients.

  • Define and implement enterprise frameworks covering AI and Automation, AI Governance, ownership, policy and standards, issue management, and governance processes.

  • Support configuration, implementation, and enablement of tooling.

  • Design relevant strategies, processes, and catalogue and documentation structures

  • Support mapping of end-to-end data flows and identifying parent and child processes.

  • Develop and implement AI Governance frameworks and relevant playbooks, advising on AI strategies, controls and responsible and ethical AI.

  • Lead internal squads and coach junior team members, providing delivery oversight and subject matter expertise.

  • Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into AI governance initiatives.

  • Contribute to internal growth of the capability - developing playbooks, methods, reusable templates, and IP.

  • Participate in pre-sales efforts and develop client proposals that highlight the value of AI Governance.

  • Work with Kubrick & client staff of other disciplines to understand and assess requirements, design solutions and inform delivery planning.

  • Seek, build, and maintain effective client relationships contributing to Kubrick’s commercial priorities and supporting our partnering approach to working with clients.

Key Requirements
  • Experience in AI Governance directly, or good exposure to AI Governance concepts and equivalent experience in related governance fields such as Data Governance.

  • Previous consulting experience totalling >5 years of experience.

  • Proven experience designing operating models, frameworks, and defining relevant roles.

  • Recognised qualifications such as the IAPP AIGP, ISO 42001 certification or similar are preferred

  • Strong understanding of core AI Governance concepts and how to balance these with human interests.

  • Confidence advising around AI implementations and tools, as well as working with AI Governance solutions.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to lead delivery teams and provide coaching or line management to more junior staff.

Benefits
  • Enhanced paid maternity, paternity and adoption leave, above the statutory minimum, with shared parental leave options

  • Additional family leave support, including up to 18 weeks parental leave, 5 days dependent care leave, paid fertility treatment leave, and up to 3 weeks paid parental bereavement leave

  • 33 days annual leave (25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays)

  • Flexible working options, including flexible start and finish times and part-time arrangements, available upon request

  • Hybrid working - choose to work from home, the Kubrick office, or your clients' office (if applicable)

  • Pension matching up to 5%

  • Unlimited mental health support through Help@Hand, available 24/7 for you and eligible family members

  • Financial wellbeing support

  • Cycle to Work scheme, save up to 43% on a new bike through Evans Cycles

  • Specsavers eye care vouchers

  • Internal mobility and career development opportunities

  • Recognition and reward programs

  • Learning and development opportunities, including professional certifications

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Mental health, diversity and inclusion support
