Job description

The opportunity

We're looking for an AI Systems Architect who will lead agentic systems design, mentor teams, and drive real outcomes for leading clients.

About Kubrick

We're an award-winning consultancy that helps organizations design, build and scale data and AI solutions that deliver lasting impact.

We work with organizations across industries including financial services, healthcare, retail, energy, aviation, and the public sector, and partner with leading technology providers such as Microsoft, Snowflake, Databricks, and Collibra.

What sets us apart is how we build capabilities and careers. Through continuous learning, real-world experience, and a collaborative culture, we help our people develop the skills, confidence, and experience to build rewarding careers.

What you'll be doing

As an AI Systems Architect you will join our Core Engineering Practice to act as the technical authority of an emerging specialism in designing and delivering AI systems, as well as developing internal IP and establishing Kubrick as a thought leader in this fast-moving space.

You will support the Platform Engineering Capability Lead in incubating this specialism with a view to establishing it as a Core Capability and be an advocate for agentic systems more broadly within the business to ensure their potential and commercial applications are well understood.

The AI Systems Architect will be Kubrick’s subject matter expert for agentic systems and provide support and guidance to junior team members as necessary to ensure they are successful on their client engagements.

Key to the role will be supporting our Solution Leads and client team in solution design and pre‑sales activities, in addition to working with our partner team to build credibility in relation to agentic systems development with partners.

What we're looking for
  • Strong understanding of agentic AI systems including LLM orchestration, tool use, memory patterns, planning and reasoning loops, and multi-agent coordination

  • Proven experience in designing and developing agentic systems for production environments, including autonomous agents, multi-agent coordination, and decision‑making frameworks.

  • Detailed knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle & best practices

  • Familiarity with agentic platforms and frameworks (Foundry, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or custom orchestration stacks)

  • Systems Thinking: Ability to architect complex, distributed systems that integrate AI components with enterprise data platforms and APIs, ensuring compliance with scalability, reliability, security, cost and ethical AI design considerations

  • Ability to code in Python and (Desirable) utilise Infrastructure as Code to deploy cloud‑based infrastructure

  • (Desirable) Proven experience developing and deploying MS Copilot Agents as part of the delivery of business‑facing solutions

  • Demonstrable experience providing technical leadership for engineering teams on AI‑oriented projects, ideally in a consultancy environment

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and influence decision‑making at senior levels

  • Strong understanding of regulatory, ethical, accuracy and security considerations for developing autonomous agentic systems

  • (Desirable): Degree, Masters or Doctorate in Software Engineering, Computer Science or ML/AI related subject

Benefits
  • 33 days annual leave (25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays)

  • Pension matching up to 5%

  • Unlimited mental health support through Help@Hand

  • Enhanced paid family leave

  • Additional family leave support, including fertility treatment leave and dependent care leave

  • Financial wellbeing support

  • Cycle to Work scheme

  • Specsavers eye care vouchers

  • Flexible working options

  • Internal mobility and career development opportunities

  • Recognition and reward programs

  • Learning and development opportunities, including professional certifications

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Mental health, diversity and inclusion support
