Job description

Job Title: Dance Teacher – SEND School
Location: South Sheffield
Contract: 4 Days a Week (Long-Term)
Start Date: ASAP

Fancy turning your moves into moments that matter?

We’re working with a brilliant SEND school in Sheffield that’s on the lookout for a passionate, creative Dance Teacher to join their team 4 days a week. The school caters to young people in KS3 and KS4 with autism and complex learning difficulties — and they’re keen for someone who can help students express themselves, build confidence, and have a cracking good time along the way.

What makes this school special?
It’s a place where the staffroom’s always welcoming, pupils are celebrated for who they are, and every small win feels like a festival. The school champions creativity and understands the power of dance as both an art form and a therapeutic outlet for their students.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering lively, accessible dance sessions tailored to individual needs

  • Delivering physical wellbeing sessions for SEND students

  • Collaborating with SENCOs and support staff to create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment

  • Encouraging students to find their rhythm, whether it’s a toe tap, a shimmy or a full-on street dance routine

  • Supporting students' social, emotional and educational development through creative movement

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified Dance Teacher (QTS, QTLS or relevant teaching qualification)

  • Experience in a SEND setting is a bonus, but if you’ve got the heart and adaptability, we want to hear from you

  • Someone calm, patient, and brilliant at turning a tricky day around with a bit of music and movement

  • Confident delivering to small groups and managing varied learning needs

Why you’ll love working with us:

  • Weekly PAYE pay — no umbrella faff

  • FREE access to our online CPD Academy - Thrive training on offer for FREE

  • Personal support from your own dedicated consultant (who actually picks up the phone)

  • Streamlined registration and bookings close to home

  • And let’s not forget our refer-a-friend bonus scheme too
