A leading school in Lancashire is seeking a SEND teacher to join their Social, Emotional and Mental Health provision. The role involves teaching pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2, engaging with professional development, and working collaboratively with staff and external providers. Candidates should have Qualified Teacher Status and experience with pupils with additional needs.
About The Role
We are looking for candidates, either ECTs or experienced teachers, to teach in our Social, Emotional and Mental Health provision catering for pupils across KS1 and KS2.
All candidates should show an interest in engaging with professional development.
Candidates should have experience working within Key Stage 1 or 2 and engaging with parents, colleagues, and other professionals to support pupil development.
They should be able to manage support staff and liaise regularly with the SENDCO.
Candidates should have experience working with pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, understand the SEND Code of Practice, and be able to use multi-agency working to meet EHCP requirements.
They should work effectively as part of a team, be creative, show initiative, and adapt teaching to enable all pupils to engage with the curriculum at their developmental level.
Prior experience in resourced provisions or special schools is preferable.

We are a two-form entry school with attached resourced provisions. As a UNICEF Rights Respecting school, we collaborate with external providers, including Manchester City Football Club, to provide a curriculum tailored to our pupils' needs.
