Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Damp and Mould Operative to work with a reputable contractor on social housing properties across Lambeth. The role pays £20.50 per hour CIS, with a company van and fuel card provided, and starts ASAP. Location: Lambeth and surrounding areas.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am–5:00pm. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating damp and mould issues in occupied and void properties, carrying out anti-mould washes, redecoration, and basic carpentry or

Qualifications

• Proven experience in damp and mould work.
• CSCS card preferred.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• Own tools required (specialist tools provided if needed).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat damp and mould issues in social housing properties.
• Carry out repairs including anti-mould washes, redecoration, carpentry or plastering tasks.
• Identify underlying issues and report further work when needed.
• Ensure high workmanship with minimal disruption to tenants.
• Maintain clear records using PDA or job sheets.

We are currently recruiting for experienced Damp and Mould Operatives to work with a reputable contractor on social housing properties across Lambeth.

Job Details:

• Pay Rate: £20.50 per hour (CIS)

• Location: Lambeth and surrounding areas

• Start Date: ASAP

• Contract Type: Ongoing

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

• Benefits: Company van and fuel card provided

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat damp and mould issues in occupied and void social housing properties

• Carry out relevant repairs, including anti-mould washes, redecoration, and associated carpentry or plastering tasks

• Identify underlying issues and report where further work may be required

• Ensure all works are completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to tenants

• Maintain clear records of work completed using a PDA or job sheets

Requirements:

• Proven experience in damp and mould work, preferably in social housing

• Full UK driving licence (essential)

• Own tools (specialist tools can be provided where necessary)

• Valid CSCS card (preferred)

• Strong communication skills and customer service approach
