Daniel Owen Ltd. is seeking a Damp and Mould Operative in Lewisham/South East London to join a dedicated maintenance team for social housing properties.

The role involves identifying damp issues, performing inspections, applying mould treatments and completing painting tasks to restore safe, habitable homes. Working on-site across South East London, you will use a PDA system to log work, follow safety regulations and advise tenants on prevention strategies.

Formación

• Full UK driving licence (manual) is required.
• Company vehicle, fuel card and uniform are provided as part of the role package.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and treat damp and mould issues across residential properties.
• Carry out inspections to assess damage and recommend solutions.
• Apply mould treatments and ensure ventilation solutions are installed.
• Repair surfaces, including painting and decorating, to restore safety and habitability.
• Complete internal and external painting as part of mould treatment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to address underlying causes (leaks, insulation).
• Advise tenants on damp/mould prevention and management.
• Work to high standards while following health and safety rules.
• Use PDA to receive job updates, document materials used and report completion.

We are currently looking for a Damp and Mould Operative to join a dedicated team providing essential maintenance services across social housing properties in the South East London area. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining healthy, safe, and well-kept homes for local residents.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and treating damp and mould issues across a range of residential properties.
• Carrying out inspections to assess the extent of damage and recommending effective solutions.
• Applying specialised mould treatments and ensuring correct ventilation solutions are installed.
• Repairing affected surfaces, including painting and decorating, to restore the property to a safe and habitable condition.
• Completing internal and external painting and decorating as part of the mould treatment and property maintenance process.
• Working alongside other maintenance teams to address underlying causes of damp, such as leaks or poor insulation.
• Providing professional advice to tenants regarding the prevention and management of damp and mould.
• Completing work to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Using a PDA system to receive job updates, document materials used, and report completed tasks.
