Job summary

Build Recruitment is recruiting a Damp & Mould Technician for response repairs in Bedfordshire. You will carry out damp and mould treatment in occupied properties, identify causes of damp, condensation and mould growth, and apply mould washes, sealants and protective coatings, plus carry out minor wall/ceiling repairs.

Working in social housing environments, you will follow health and safety procedures, use PPE/COSHH-compliant products, and report any follow-on works to the office.

Qualifications

• Experience in damp and mould treatment in occupied properties.
• Identifying causes of damp, condensation and mould growth.
• Applying mould washes, sealants and protective coatings as required.
• Carrying out minor repairs to walls, ceilings and surfaces.
• Working in a tidy, respectful manner in tenants' homes with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day damp and mould treatment works in occupied properties.

• Clean, treat, and remove mould using approved methods and materials.
• Apply mould washes, sealants, and protective coatings as required.
• Carry out minor repairs including making good walls, ceilings, and affected surfaces.
• Improve ventilation where required, including fitting vents or extractor fans.
• Work tidy and respectful in tenants’ homes, following health & safety procedures.
• Use PPE and COSHH-compliant products correctly at all times.
• Report any further issues, causes, or follow-on works to the office.
• Occasionally help other trades on small make-good jobs

Day to Day Duties for a Damp & Mould Technician on the response team
